Trader Joe's beer

Trader Joe's is a fantastic store to buy strange and unusually yummy organic foods, aside from the fact that one must deal with the local hippies who accidentally brush up against you and then one must cleanse oneself in a large vat of boiling water immediately afterwards. (For emergency purposes, the stores usually have handi-wipes available back by the food and coffee taste testing area and a very large container of handi-wipes in front of the store by the carts. Nate, since you live near a couple Trader Joe's now you can steal a bunch of those and stock up for later use).

Upon first glance you would think that Trader Joe's beer selection is good. Several imports from Belgium, Holland and Germany and lots of domestic micros. Excellent and tasty selections like Duvel, 3 Horses Lager, New Belgium and plenty of Mac's. Pounders, pints, litres, bottles, cans, etc. One minor problem. All their beers are warm. Not a one six pack or litre bottle with the fancy cork is chilled. In stark opposition to your run-of-the-mill local grocery outlet like Fred Meyer or Safeway where EVERY six or twelve pack is chilled to perfect consumption temperature.

Pull your collective heads out of your asses, Trader Joe's and stick you beer where it counts.

Not only are we drinkers, but we are helpful to our local distributors.

Places like BevMo! have an incredible selection of beer, wine and liquor and just about every bottle of anything imaginable is on the shelf, unrefrigerated. God forbid you wait a half hour for a drink to get cold, Alex. :)
