We hope this Special Sweet Release finds you and yours happy and healthy this hopeful holiday season. We were making our Gnarlywine back in '98, messed up the recipe, and this Elegant Accident is what we got.
As we brew this Special Ale in this the fourth part of the third year of a new, and so far difficult, millennium, we are thinking about how complicated our world has become and about how easily the space between us all sometimes grows. We hope this Ale and this Holiday Season find you and the ones closest to you in moments of quiescence from which new intimacies may arise. Maybe a new appreciation of a lifetimes's unceasing arc will appear to you as real and as gently as a familiar voice might whisper in your ear. Maybe it's not really just Wednesday or Thursday or today or yesterday or just now or then... maybe it's all just plain 'now' and maybe it's all we've got and maybe that really is enough. Bring on then this the time of the year when the skies sometimes cloud over and the wind and the rain drive us inside and together and may for you the shelter be as much about the foofs and walls as it is about the company and the shared time.
